Now that the dust has settled, was it realistic?

No Ivan this doesn't make me hate journalists. No Ivan I don't care that a black female soldier was a character either.

cool concept for a movie but they followed the least interesting aspect of it and it was boring as shit outside of the one scene

I think it was realistic, but I donโ€™t know how youโ€™d travel between states or get โ€œnearโ€ anything going on without getting robbed. The rule of law was clearly in decline. The gas station guys were shady as fuck, and the glasses guy and his bros were LITERALLY emptying that dump truck into a giant hole in the ground. Where do you think the contents of that truck came from..? And I have no doubt there would be people just like that out there.

No, because Americans are too obese and apathetic to actually participate in wide-scale violence. I think our Civil War is more in-tune with what's happening now. Intense political division played out in the battlefield of baffling online internet discourse, heavy misinformation/disinformation, cultural nihilism, and increasing lack of empathy because of compassion fatigue.

Human beings were never meant to know this much information and have it easily accessible. Especially without the tools and understanding needed to effectively process all of it.

they were too chicken shit and conformist to articulate why there could be a civil war, because that would involve them having to spell out what factors would make the US fragment into warring factions. They could do it, but not without articulating a clear social/political framework; side X is made up of these people and believes this, side y is made up of these people and so on - now you're getting into potential Turner Diaries territory

So the US political landscape is never discussed. The civil in this movie is like a zombie plague, it just happens and makes people kill each other with no rhyme or reason.

That's how it always is in hollyjew media

They can never portray the causes for these things just like why Nazism became a thing

Because then they would have to admit maybe things aren't so black and white as they want you to think

no way you can just travel like that without hundreds of roadblocks like opportunists, scavengers, self-proclaimed tough guys, starving people, private security, and zealots stopping you.
the original script was probably a border skirmish in some 3rd world that noone woulda watched but forced to be rewritten for current thing

This remind me how much I hated the changes to marvel civil war

>story about the dangers of fascism, forced registration and intrusion on citizens private life with a bitter ending becomes a pathetic airport fight

Their Trump stand-in was cowering on the floor begging for his life.
A few months later IRL Trump stood up with his fist telling people to fight.

Leftists don't know how their enemies think.
Their art will always have these blind spots and age terribly.
