>Katzenberg, a co-founder of DreamWorks and one-time Disney executive whose work includes films like "Shrek," reflected on the "huge" resistance to making "Toy Story" with the then-novel CGI technology.

>The people most afraid were the ones who would be disrupted, he said.
"Everything that you are hearing today are the issues that we had to deal with," he said.
>Katzenberg continued, "Yes, there was disruption, but animation's never, ever been bigger than it is today."
>The bottom line: "AI isn't going to replace people, it's going to replace people that don't use AI," he said.
AI Kino is coming

Thats funny because movies have moved back from making full CGI because combining practical effects with CGI filters on top looks better and is cheaper to produce. Same shit will happen to AI.

One of the biggest anime of this decade(Chainsaw Man) uses CG for all the fights. How about you take your goggles off that are strapped to the 90s. Anime is shit now.

It'll be interesting to see what they can generate without being able to use Disney, Universal or Ghetty Images datasets.
The short answer is nothing lmao.

You mean the anime with the director who lost his job at Mappa and is now making trailers for Roblox games? That Chainsaw Man?

Digital "art" isn't real art anyway. I don't know why non-artists are so asshurt about using one tool over another.

CG is more prevalent in anime than you like to pretend. And those thousands of examples are all digitally animated as well. So yeah, take off your 90s goggles

That's what I've been saying. The only way I could see generative AI art like movies and such being available to everyone is if it's a subscription service, but it'd be heavily gimped, censored, characters would have to say things like unalive and SA'd, no nudity whatsoever, no violence.

Digital animation is not the same as CGI. CGI movies are Pixar shit.

You're still presuming it would work if there were the resources. The bottleneck is talent, not resources. We've been thru this before with CGI, iPhones, drum machines: technology hasn't uncorked some latent talent inside the ordinary person because there's no talent (or taste) there to begin with. In fact the opposite happens, talented artists degenerate because they don't need to refine skills. Dumbing down the technology further will only make things worse.

He's right though. New Technology is new Technology.
I'm not sure why Luddites seethe any time AI is mentioned, but the fact is that, just like ALL technologies, it will only get more ubiquitous and more refined as time goes on. Nothing they or anyone can do about it.

That's one of the biggest manga, the anime was hated for that and a good few other reasons besides because the director was a retarded hack.

Studios may get a second wind. The with LucasFilm Volume and enough drone footage location scouting, you'll be able to shoot anywhere (even with a catalogue of different days and weather conditions).
