Because Disney didn't have it's grubby little hands on it yet. They were able to flesh out characters without worrying about ruining the yet to be written plans of somebody else. It was one group telling a thought out story bit by bit. Hell the next season was pretty much written when Disney screwed it all up.

I'm a Marvelchad but I never really watched the entire EMH series. I had watched Batman The Animated series. And Batman Beyond. Both kino.

Then I watched Justice League and that was super kino. After that, that's when I watched Marvel's version and it wasn't bad. Pretty good actually. I'd rank it high on my list next to Justice League.

They came pretty close with the Spider-Man and Iron Man CG cartoons they played on MTV2 in the mid 2000s. I remember being up late at night and running across them while drinking.

exactly. this is why i hate when people say things "dont work in live action", because they never actually try it without either: adding 1 billion unnecessary details/making it tacticool, have it as a cameo, or very VERY rarely do it but play it off as a joke "dont i look le stupid amirite millenials?". nobody seems to remember that capeshit is supposed to be stylised and not reality, and is ultimately capeshit. they take everything too seriously, especially the fans who dont wanna admit they like goofy stuff are the same as adults who watch kids cartoons and try to say they are actually for adults because a character dies.

That's literally just your opinion and it doesn't correspond with reality. Plenty of films embrace the "goofy and fun" aspect of capes and are awful. Meanwhile, some of the best comic book films ARE the ones that take themselves seriously.
