Barriga and his son were the only good persons in the show. Shame all the other asshole characters couldn't have a single interaction with them without making fun of their weight.

Missing the point of El Chavo, it's a show about how the most spiteful and rude people have a good side to them. Like the episode where Barriga invites El Chavo to Acapulco. Or the episode where Doรฑa Florinda learns that sharing is good even though it's hard.
It pisses me off how Barriga forgives 14 months of rent to Ramon, yet the latter can't resist slipping a fat joke every single time he interacts with Barriga

>>211607498 They are they are, but they are still good in some way. Even with all the problems. But yeah, Sr Barriga is the least problematic character, who has to put up with their shit.
Amazing to read a Chavo del 8 thread here. I remember watching this on my grandmother's house each Wednesday at midday. Good times. That was probably 25 years ago at this point... TA TA TA TAAAAA!

Canal 5 in the south played this all the time. Cineshock and dragon ball were the highlights of Mexican TV. They even had a midnight music video block were they played eclectic artist from from around the world. I am making a list of some that aired but can't remember all of them. System of a down to Kylie minogue and Sophie Ellis bextar.

>>211618313 Godinez was played by Chespirito's manager and real-life brother Horacio Gomez Bolaรฑos. In one school episode, Chespirito asked Godinez to play one of the kids for filling space but Godinez was already busy with producing El Chavo so he asked Chespirito to have few lines. Chespirito accepted and that's why Godinez didn't have more screentime despite his popularity

It's been more than two decades since I last watched the show but I still remember the episode where Don Ramon teaches boxing el Chavo. That shit killed me.
