Monarch intercepts a distress signal coming from the Moon's interior leading to the revelation that it's actually hollow and working as a satellite.
New priestesses for Mothra are introduced and they too intercept the warning from space.
Big bad is yet again an original Titan but takes great inspiration from SpaceGodzilla.
The Titans sense the upcoming space monster and the moons signal and another mass awakening event occurs.
Trapper has greater influence in Monarch and is part of a Titan medical team, a massive robot is constructed from the remains of Mechagodzilla to aid the Titans.

The moon exists as a kind of "veil" to allow faster-than-light travel between earth and some specific point in space. Even with a form of quantum-entangled instant transfer, FTL travel is impossible due to causality - you can't travel faster than light because then you'd be observed arriving before you even left. However, under the right conditions, if you can shield your point of departure from the lightcone of your point of arrival, and vice versa, then you could create what amounts to a corridor of space in which you could travel faster than light without violating causality. The moon exists to provide this shielding function, aligning between earth and a range of specifically chosen arrival points at various points in time to allow instantaneous transit between them.

If it's not SpaceGodzilla and is just an offbrand edition, I'm not watching Godzilla x Kong Supernova. I didn't like Shimo and dont want to see yet another "Not Godzilla", much less another one with biological crystals that isn't SpaceGodzilla. At that point, it'd just be disrespectful to fans who they know have been talking about and asking for SpaceGodzilla by name. Not some generic store brand, not an almost version, not a bootleg. Diablo Immortal levels of tonedeaf.
