I'll still watch it just because it's an original project. It's all sequels after this (The Bad Guys 2, Zootopia 2, Super Mario Bros 2, Minions 3, Toy Story 5, Shrek 5)

Pixar has already lined up a fuckton of sequels to their older IPs over the next few years.

They'll be fine

>Irreparibly tanks your acclaimed and beloved studio in barely half a decade.

Yes I know that 2012-2018 Pixar was already somewhat rocky, and yes I know that Lasseter's post-Pixar films have been dogshit, but Docter seemed to make it his mission from Day 1 to cheapen the brand and stop Pixar films from looking and feeling like Pixar films, so now everything of theirs that isn't a sequel is unidentifiable among the ocean of yearly C-tier animated kids' films. A shame since he made a few of the studio's best back in the day.

The problem seems to be that it's not original, though.

Just rehashed tropes but now fed through a feminisation machine to remove all the grit or tension that similar stories once had when they were actually aimed at boys.

>WE NEED TO SUPPORT PROJECTS LIKE THIS
Imagine buying a ticket because you "need to support" a film rather than because you're excited to see it. The worst kind of person.

I do. Their movies are still great. Lightyear is really the only dud of the 2020s so far.
