I’d describe it as “polite contempt.” You could picture them scoff and look annoyed if they had to walk over your dying body to get another glass of champagne. Peele is tapping into the side of Lovecraftian horror that nobody ever tries to emulate, the race-based "otherness" style horror. Lovecraft's famous for his cosmic horror stuff, but another consistent theme running through his stories was his fear of cultures other than Anglo-saxon whites. Lovecraft was a regular racist too of course, but he was genuinely freaked out by swarthy foreigners, and particularly about body-horror stuff involving them. You see this in all sorts of places: The Shadow Over Innsmouth most famously, wherein the horrifying reveal is that the main character is destined to become a fish-person, but also in stories like Facts Concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family, where the MC learns he's part "white african ape" and commits suicide by immolation. I don't think Peele's doing it on purpose, but Get Out is one of the best Lovecraftian stories in this vein put to film. Hollywood let him make it because he's black and the source of the fear is white people, but it's very much the same kind of story. I know when people ask about "Lovecraftian" films they're talking about aliens and tentacles and deep sea stuff, but Get Out legitimately belongs on the list, and pretty high on it. Good movie.
