It's kind of funny how a black Bond simply doesn't work. Black men can't be Bond. They can be a different kind of action star but not Bond. No one in any right frame of mind buys it if a black guy is trying to play a cool, collected, handsome, charismatic, cunning, world trotting spy and killer alike. Everytime Hollywood raceswaps a character the film/tv show has been complete garbage. This will be no different. The pathetic thing is that the spy genre lane is wide open now that Tom Cruise basically retired from the Mission Impossible franchise so it should be easy to make Bond movies good and relevant again.

Just cast a young actor, give him some sidekicks, some gadgets, sexy love interests and have him fight against some supervillain and watch as the James Bond franchise becomes relevant again.
