GxK was alright, but it fell into the same trap that countless sequels fall into: they try to make the movie more extreme and intense than the one that came before it, and in doing so, it turns into this over-the-top cartoony nonsense. 2014 and Kong: Skull Island had the perfect ratio of realism to fantasy IMO.
I'm guessing Supernova is going to take it to the extreme. I'll still watch it for the fight scenes, but I'm sure the story is going to be absolutely ridiculous.
