The revived show has had some decent episodes (Boom, 73 Yards) but it has consistently aired absolute shit as the first episode which had normal people turn off.
Tennant's first episode was "remember the meep's pronouns!/male presenting timelord could never understand", Ncuti's was a fucking gay musical, his first real episode was about babies and farting spaceships. Those were supposed to be jumping on points for normal people and instead it just scared them away harder.
