did the monkeys evolve naturally in the original or did they also get some sort of special juice that kickstarted their development? because at that rate of sedimentary buildup we're talking probably hundreds of thousands of years passing. the statue of liberty is 305 feet tall and probably 50-60% of her is covered. it can take tens of thousands of years just for some areas in the world to experience a couple meters of accumulation

If you consider the new movies canon, the monkeys were genetically modified by a experimental drug that made they smarter, the drug also created a virus that also made humans dumber.

Modern humans have nothing that would survive a global cataclysm. So depressing. Lost to history we will be. I go spelunking and carve my name and dob into cave walls. I will not be forgotten. Our ancestors might end up thinking I was someone of importance. A king perhaps. A god to some. I sleep well at night.

It is something about a time cycle, like two smart monkeys of the first movie travel to the past to save Earth (that was destroyed by a bomb in the second movie), they have a son and his descendents make peace with humanity after an ape revolt and nuclear war, changing the timeline.

In the original a plague killed domesticated animals like cats and dogs. Replacing them with monkeys became popular. At a certain point they evolved monkeys into hominid-like monkeys to use them basically as slaves.
Many generations from then a smarter monkey was born, Ceasar, who guided the monkeys against humans.
The original movies, 2rd one I believe? had the 2 monkeys from movie 1 travelling in time and gettign killed in our near future, their sone/daughter survives and he/she is/generates Caesar, who basically is monkey John Connor.

og movie is all time kino, but the sequels... eh. They have some kino moments tho, and you propably will recognize them reahashed in the new movies, like the first word ever pronounced by a monkey (Ceasar): "No!" and a crime committed by a gorilla (maybe in the last movie) where the monkey leader couldn't believe that a monkey could kill a monkey.

FUN fact. The only monkey movie to ever be accurate to the original book is the Tim Burton one. And like the book, it's shit

Wrong. The only thing accurate in the tim burton movie is that it's actually Soror and not Earth.
