It's a movie where a woman stands in a burning home and goes "I'm just sort afraid of dying in the fire" and a nothing character goes "It's important how one chooses to die". all I remember is Hoffman shooting up, And he said he was stupid doing it looking back at it, seeing him the other day.

I think, when you're here in the flesh it's more intense.

Caden's not even the main character, he's made up and the protagonist is actually Ellen, the elderly woman that appears near the end of the film, who imagined Caden as a character in her amateur play she's writing in her spare time.

You should watch his latest movie I'm Thinking of Ending Things, which takes one (main) element of Synecdoche New York, dumbs it down and makes it the sole focus of the film. Then you can rewatch Synecdoche New York.

But then again why would you? At the end of the day it really is just a bunch of self-obsessed neurotic jew's incoherent post-meta-modernistic ramblings. Forget all about it and move on with your life.
