Yeah it's kind of a horrible movie and there's nothing worth praising about it, but that's actually totally the point you just didn't get it

Why does Tom Hanks never look believable in a period piece? He has a certain metrosexual aura that's hard to divorce from the modern day

I liked it, it was fun, and his daughter was really hit, I guess the contrast between nun clothes and heavy makeup worked.

The movie was great. Witty, sharp dialogue; good set design; tight story. But /tv/tards need constant heckin deep speeches and subtle camera movements and lazily cut directors' "vision" so that they can turn around and flex on here and Letterboxd about how superior their artistic taste is

The costume sez forbidden, to be taken off. no nun would wear heavy makeup so it's cosplay signaling other things than uptight

It's the part where they keep themselves pure and chaste and convincing them to drop god for a man.

When you repeat the exact same formula of dialog exchange 200 times it stops being witty
