The only jokes I've heard people say they liked in the trailer were jokes they already did in the previous movies. It also looks more like a parody of Taken than of police shows.

I'm willing to give it a shot. The little girl turning into Liam and also the nod to the camera and cutting to him in the outfit I thought was pretty funny, pretty close to the humor of the original. I am of course skeptical, but I'd love for this to actually be a good send up and a good continuation.

Liam Neeson is not a comedian. So uh.. if this gets the younger generations to see and appreciate the Leslie Nielsen classics, which happen to be timeless comedy (with only a handful of "problematic" scenes that you can chalk up to "a different time") then I am all for it.

There shouldn't be obvious cgi since the good gacks came from practical effects.
Neeson doesn't have the soup opera quality Nielsen had and I don't get what exactly they gonna spoof with that movie.
