>>211705190 (OP)Never got the complaints about this. The show very clearly goes for the idea that Vault dwellers are soft compared to the people on the surface. They've endured hard times, but the show repeatedly shows Vaults (that haven't horribly failed) as being genuinely easy places to live. Titus basically becomes a catatonic lotus eater when he realizes he can sit in a comfy chair, eat popcorn, and watch a screen saver of a waterfall all day, because that is *INCREDIBLY* luxurious compared to life in the Brotherhood.
Also this dude, in particular, is shown to be kind of a workshy dweeb. I can absolutely believe he's managed to wrangle jobs where he sits down and doesn't do any heavy lifting his entire life, while enjoying a steady diet of synthetically reconstituted twinkies.
