I've never seen Blade Runner 2049.
Is it worth taking a 1 hour bus ride to see it in the theater?
a 1 hour bus ride, god damn bro?
but yea, it is pretty kino. Starts out very strong. Loses a little bit of steam near the end but it's good.
>>211714580 (OP)Wish I would have seen it in the theater. Go for it anon, was better than what I was expecting and I'm not really a huge fan of the original, I like it too but I'm not autistic about it like most anons here.

>How would you feel if you didn't take the bus here?
>>211714580 (OP)I saw it 3 times in theaters when it released. The third time I saw it the chick at the ticket counter laughed at me.
the sound experience if you're in a decent theater is fucking crazy, almost too intense. i liked it enough to come back and watch the whole thing again the next day but to be fair i had to leave right around the middle - which is where it really starts to kick up though, so for a first viewing yes, definitely a theater view
hopefully shouldn't be too crowded since it's a reshowing
>>211714580 (OP)I watched if for my first time last year. The setting is incredible, but it's really fucking unfortunate that it had to have this story. I wouldn't do it. I was disappointed by it, after all the memes and hype.
>>211714580 (OP)Def watch it in theaters, anon.
The presentation is top notch and it's a great sci-fi film. It's rare when a sequel upstages the original to this degree which is incredibly impressive considering it's Bladerunner.
It's good but the original film (director's cut) is better for sure. This shit dragged on far too long, could've been 45 min shorter.
>>211714580 (OP)You're gonna love Ana De Armas
>>211714580 (OP)Yes, definitely, I did exactly that back then and it was the last truly satisfying movie theater experience I had
>>211714580 (OP)It's ok. Probably a better movie than the original but it doesn't have as much to say
Jared Shitto is in full method actually dipshit mode and is a poor replacement for Joe Turkel's Tyrell
>>211714580 (OP)This is the definition of zoomer trash. Skip it don't waste your money.
>>211714580 (OP)Saw it in a theater at a midnight showing near when it released. Only people in the theater were me and my two buddies. One of the most memorable experiences of my life. Some said it was too slow or indulgent but that near 3 hour experience in the theater made me feel like I was totally immersed in the world and didnโt want to leave for a second. Great movie even if itโs been sucked off really hard in recent years. Definitely better than anything else by Villeneuve. Arrival was pretty lame and gay and both Duncs were mid, Enemy was like more boring Fight Club. Canโt remember what else he did but this was definitely his best work.
Not really. It is a film that is pretty good the first time but falls apart on repeat viewings.
>>211714580 (OP)WTF are they showing it in theatre again? I missed on on seeing it when it was out.
>>211716204>upstages the original49 does not have a single line of witty dialogue
>>211719745It's not an official rerelease or anything, just a theater in LA that's showing it
>>211715534You got the meta experience
>>211715534did she look like Mariette?
>>211720265she looks like a transgender in a wig
>>211714580 (OP)well, it's definitely a movie that needs to be seen in a theater to be properly enjoyed. actually, you should really try to see it in IMAX if you can. that's how I saw it the first time.
