How do I stop getting the urge to pause a show or movie everytime a character gets in a potentially awkward scenario, and doomscroll youtube for 20 minutes before returning to watch

Is this genuinely an autism thing? I do it too and it's like a compulsion

If you don't have to make excuses to put a book down, why would you need an excuse to pause a movie?
