No I grew up, was a teenager in the 90s, so I had undercut in the 90s and spider like hair. Even got plats in for a short while as a girl did them for me.
In the early 00s I would have just short hair and gel a bit to keep it in place. By my late teens and early 20s I would only gel it if I was going to a rave, early mid 20s I stopped using hair products all together and have not since.
