it's really surreal watching those Ernest commercial compilations how they kept doing them even once the movies had taken off, he was doing them late in his career too, there's some from the late 90s where his voice is sounding rough from the smoking that even has a URL on screen

They're releasing a documentary about him this year.
I read his biography and his life was kind of sad, he had aspirations to be a big serious actor but only found success with Ernest and was kind of forced to play that character just because that was the only consistent work he could get. He drank and smoked a shit ton and rarely ate, he was obsessed with old knives and guns and never owned a computer, he was an old soul for sure. All that said, he was based and I miss him

>It's the legend Kenny!
>Milk doesn't work now!
absolutely terrifying

>>211746129
His life wasn't sad, it's just a normal life in a lot of ways. It doesn't make it sad, it makes it beautiful.
We don't all get to be rockstars, but sometimes a dude can do some commercials and find a little bit of that magic.
He was an interesting guy though that's for sure.

Mountain Dew has a shitload of caffeine and a slightly sour taste. I don't remember if Mello-Yello has any caffeine but it's sweet as fuck.

I could've sworn he did an Ernest commercial for a local burger chain back in the day, but I could not find it for the longest time. I just checked, and someone put it on Youtube. Based nostalgia dopamine.

It's great that Jim got to be such a memorable character in Ernest but look at this pic and imagine all great roles he could have also been in. He had the look and talent.

ernest was a beloved character who still has influence 20 years after his death, that's a pretty great legacy for any actor or person
