Finally gonna start watching this show. What am I in for?

Mulder having somehow zero charisma and yet a lot of charm
Scully being cute
Shitty monsters at the beginning, then some pretty badass monsters post season 4
A main plotline that goes off the fucking rails as it goes on
Lots of comfy episodes featuring a bunch of character actors from before they were famous.

Just an ordinary show about unlikely yet plausible scientific phenomena.

Mulder's life is predominantly out of his control, of course he has no charisma. That's kind of the point of his character.

Deadpan Dave is certainly an acquired taste

i tried watching it a few years ago. it was okay. nothing special, and i recall some episodes endings were very jarring
