That shit is cool in the sense that it only works in a cartoon that's clearly just for fun and not a canon continuation.
It's like how there used to be a kids game back during the JPIII era called Scan Command/Dinosaur Battles where you could make dinosaurs fight each other using dino calls with a PDA, then they tried to make it canon where they put brain chips in the dinos that are linked up to PS4 controllers and it's absolutely fucking lame.

Yes we all know, and they dropped it when they realized how fucking stupid it sounded to have a squad of hybrid dino soldiers. It feels like some asshole in charge thinks if they keep pushing with every film eventually they'll do it anyway

ACKtually, the raptor training stuff comes from an old concept from back when JW was gonna be a video game, and it was a continuation of Jurassic Park III, where Billy continued his research with Alan and learned how to communicate with raptors.

Easier to copyright and trademark made up dinosaur monsters versus doing weird versions of real ones. Like look at how many generic Dilophosaurus toys have the Jurassic Park frill.

everyone rightfully ripping on this new weird rex design but after 4 movies of genetic dinos it shows restraint that they haven't taken it to some full scifi horror where you got some nightmarish spider lizard octo horror, thats gotta come if they keep making these

conceptually the dinos have always been hybrids they just focused on making real ones before, since JW its not even about the real animals those are just the backdrop for the new experiments

Yeah, there was. It was a pair of carnotaurus that had a pretty cool scene in the book. It was more along the lines of the dilos being venomous in the first book in that it was supposed to be showing how little we actually knew about what dinosaurs could do and that they could maybe be like giant spitting cobras or have camoflaging abilities that could rival a cuttlefish.
