So this is basically mankind's future after AI?
>>211768048 (OP)It will be far more dystopian than that, real life is always more dystopian than movies but a "boring dystopian" not the cool kind.
>>211768263No! Steven he tried to steal, about warning us for this in this Kubrick vision
>>211768048 (OP)I liked A.I.
One of 4 DVDs I actually bought.
>>211768574What is neat about that scene is that if you pay attention, David tries to place his fingers on Monica's spine on the back of her neck. This obviously mirrors how Monica had to put her fingers on David's spine on the back of his neck to 'imprint' him onto her.
He was trying to imprint her onto him.
>>211768579what were the other three?
>>211768048 (OP)mankind gave birth to new lifeforms, and then lost.
>>211768048 (OP)It's a bit over optimistic about the long term reliability of complex electronics.
Itโll be far worse for you if you donโt become rich in the next 5-10 years
I didn't understand the Albert Einstien AI hologram guy. Why did they have to pay for it? That's like still using pay phones when every single person has a cell phone.
>>211773675Robots don't know they can skip the ads.
>>211772540Half the movie is about them falling apart though
The "Flesh Fair" scene is what will happen. In it the crowd cheers for the destruction of bots until one of them looks like a child, at which point most of the crowd turns against the MC. He was right that it's just another artificial lifeform but since it looked like a child, humans were easily swayed to try to protect it.
Already there are people falling in love with LLMs. Getting humans to fight, even to the death, for AI will increasingly happen.
>>211773799What you saw was a computer that still functioned even though pieces were missing and exposed to the weather.
Meanwhile in the real world, computers are burning out because they got a little warm.
>>211773998I mean, they're not mutually exclusive necessarily. Machines can be weirdly durable as well as being weirdly fragile.
>>211768048 (OP)kinda but its also supporting like aliens as divine beings unless those are sentient computer beings achieving divinity, not sure which.
>>211775897Those were future robots. Humans are dead.
>>211775944Ah so its ai achieving robot divinity ok.
>>211775972They had good tech, but they had limits. Mostly they replaced humanity.
>>211768048 (OP)Iโve cried like a bitch during the last 15 minutes of the movie ever since it came out.
