My favorite being "Tape" starring Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman. No blacks. Just two guys discussing raping Uma's character back in college before she shows up.

Studios are also less willing to fund mid-budget genre films, and vampire stories have been heavily saturated since then. A remake would have to change so much to fit current tastes that it wouldnโt really feel like The Lost Boys anymore.
