Unironically people have been having kids in their 40s for decades.

However I'm a guy and in my mid to late 30s with no kids and I think one of the best times to have kids is in your mid 20s.

The age is 24. In the past it might have been lower, but 24 is the cut off in 2025. If you're alone and living with your parents at 24 then you just fall behind massively every single day until you end up a late 20s loser, then a 30s loser, etc.

Aren't there studies that show that waiting any longer than 30 for either of the parents increases risk of the child developing issues and what not?

There's no "certain age" for women. It's 35.

The issue with that study is that it doesn't do differing ages for the couples. They have a 40+ couple and use the results for for male and female conclusions without having controlling pairs of say a 40+ year old man with a 20 something woman.
It's the woman. There's a reason a man can still produce a child past 40 whereas it's a monumental uphill battle for 90% of women.
