I watched Solaris earlier this year and it was very slow. The American remake is superior in some ways since Tarkovsky's version takes around 45 minutes till they arrive to Solaris, whereas in the remake George Clooney arrives there in the first 10 minutes. I've heard from a friend that Sacrifice is also very slow. I think Andrei Rublev is my favourite of his films.
