I was 7 or 8 when I started watching Ben 10...loved it, couldn't follow a story to save my life but I loved how it looked, sounded, felt...
Not long after, that fucking Alien Force shit comes out, n look I don't care if it's a fine enough show in terms of story and writing, IT'S FUCKING UGLY...I remember my kid self REFUSING to watch it just based of how tacky n spin-offish it looked...I didn't see it as "and evolution" like having a new doctor in Doctor Who, it just felt weird and unofficial

Same. I've only seen clips of the later shows and wonder what happened, like the voice changes and total overhaul done to Vilgax and Ghostfreak. The episode I was made aware of Vilgax enlisting Ben's aid to fuck up Ghostfreak is a kino premise, like another childhood cartoon, Justice League, where Darkseid does this with Superman to fuck up Brainiac before betraying everyone.
