I think there might some sort of culture around a generation of people feeling like they are technologically superior to older generations, but then they pay 50% more for an iPhone instead of an Android. What causes this? Why are people willing to ignore facts and become so easily fooled? The deeper they get into it, the more painful the cognitive dissonance will be to change their opinions later. They become entrenched. Sometimes they were programmed by their families.
Other times they they were programmed by an earlier desire to rebel from the families. I'll probably get b& for going off topic which would be extremely gay because this is 100% related to /tv/.

It was kinda fun to pirate movies in the 00's but why bother when you can watch high quality stuff legally for 15 bucks a month? You can be really strategic about it too cycling between different services and free trials.

And anyways, if we don't support media we like they'll stop making it. It's like how Boomers let all the small businesses die to save a buck at Wal-Mart and now they're sad that they're gone.

I was just giving an example, there is not "torrent culture". Nobody feels superior or anything...but it is funny that younger people think it's too complicated to torrent. I mean I can't code or anything but I torrenting is one of the easiest things you can do on the internet.

Torrent is based and cool and I fully support it.
But the culture surrounding private trackers is pure cancer. It's specially the jannies, it's like a high school clique.

I fucking hate nu-internet faggots like yourself. Private trackers are made specifically for normie faggots who need to turn everything in life into ratio contest or some other form of social gratification. The whole point of piracy is being convinent, no strings attached, and private is neither of those things.
>but muh obscure movies
tell me one movie that isn't on any public tracker.

i've been pirating content from BBSes since i was a kid and participated in the actual scene for close to a decade, you are a leech and a retard. the only people who get arrested for piracy are morons who do it publicly. all of the releases you depend on come from people who release them on private places only to be relabeled or re-encoded by leeches for indian kids like you. there are thousands of movies on karagarga that would likely only otherwise be seen on passthepopcorn. i can't help you if the general public can't maintain a swarm on niche content, that's the benefit of a private site. keep seething like a petulant child.
