What does /tv/ think of pic related? My wife made me watch it with her and the first episode actually got me hooked. What am I in for?

I've only watched up to season 3 so far
It occasionally gets eye-roll corny or woke cringe but it's generally really good. Obviously the best parts are Jesus but I really like Simon's plots also
of course the kino parts are just from the bible but as far as adapting i think they do a good job.

the worst pozz is Joseph being a total blackie but that lasts for like 10 seconds of screentime most of the "feminism" is from the bible

itโ€™s just interesting once the right wing funds a show that it still has the same problems every other show does, but letโ€™s not think about that.

A bunch of the cast and staff are not even Christian let alone "right wing". There was a controversy the director had to address cause there was like a behind the scenes picture of one of the staff waving the gay flag.

This.
Without getting too /pol/, I feel like there are bad-actors in the US who benefit only from chaos. We have to just kind of ignore it, I guess. Watch what you like.
>If there is a religious /tv/ show, they're atheists.
>if there is a parade... you get the idea.

Of course, everyone who opposes them is a Chud, right? I guess the majority of the US are Chuds right now. Sorry.
It is annoying that there are no news networks besides Fox to watch on /tv/. I don't agree with everything on Fox, but I sure as fuck am never watching CNN or MSNBC except to laugh.

It's pretty good just as a show. If you have strong negative reactions to people who truly believe in a supernatural religion expressing and affirm that belief without irony or reservation, there are moments that will rub you wrong. It's not impossible to suspend disbelief, so to speak, and view the show as you would any other show with supernatural elements, but pretty much everyone from the stem to stern on this production is an avowed Christian, and the fact that it's a persuasion piece as much as it is just straight art can linger in the back of the mind. I like the show. Especially the parts where the Romans are cruel towards the Jews.

turns Jesus into a sarcastic hippie instead of the son of God.
If you want to see a good representation of Jesus, watch Jesus of Nazareth from 1977.
