I'm a pretty big, mean-looking dude. 6'3, 280lbs, bald and bearded, full sleeve tats. Won a few state-level powerlifting comps back in the day and practice MMA twice a week at my local gym. Suffice it to say I can take care of myself. But man, if I saw Jon Bernthal on the street, looking even a little annoyed? I'd cross to other side even if it meant going through 8 lanes of peak-hour traffic. There's just something about him, this rawness and intensity, you just know the man has seen some real shit and is absolutely lethal when he needs to be. Luckily I hear he's a pretty chill guy, super humble and authentic, but still, if I found myself on the other end of a barfight with Jon Bernthal? I'd make like Lynyrd Skynyrd and take 3 steps towards the door.

Benefits of Buying Local

Buying local helps improve the economy by keeping money circulating within the community, which leads to more jobs, better salaries, and a stronger local tax base. For every $100 spent at a locally owned business, approximately $50 recirculates and remains in the local economy, compared to only around $15 when spent at a national chain. Local businesses also contribute to a stronger tax base and better use of public services, which translates into better schools, transportation, and emergency response services.
In addition to economic benefits, buying local helps improve the environment by reducing commercial traffic and congestion, which leads to lower fuel emissions and air pollution. Locally sourced materials also produce less waste by cutting out unnecessary travel and delivery, and reduce the amount of packaging used. This contributes to a healthier Earth and better communities.
Buying local also helps improve community well-being by supporting local charities and fundraisers, and encouraging new entrepreneurs to start or nurture existing businesses. Local businesses often contribute more to local charitable causes than national competitors, and they help support non-profits, colleges, and schools through volunteer work and donations.
Furthermore, buying local can improve the quality of life by fostering a sense of community and preserving the unique character of local areas. Local businesses often have a stronger connection to the community and are more likely to consider their impact on it, creating a culture of charitable giving and unique value

He is basically saying that America would benefit a lot more if people boycotted giant corporations and he is right

The problem with this is majority of people don’t give a rip because they feel disrespected already and like their money doesn’t go far enough as it is so they go to bigger chain stores because they will save $50 - $100 on groceries and clothes

Really difficult to help people understand the benefits of this without showing them graphs and charts, even then they might not care

Saw him at the hardware store the other day, he was sipping a craft beer and pushing a cart full of tools. That's when some flyover dickhead came in, saying he was in a camping trip with his huge RV and asked the clerk for some firewood. He didn't notice, but as soon as he said the world firewood Jon, form the other side of the store, turned to him like some sleeper agent that just heard the activation phrase.
The clerk was showing the republican asshat the firewood as Jon walked behind them, the maga brain didn't even notice him standing right behind him. Everyone else in the store was frozen solid while the guy went "I don't want this shitty california firewood, give me the imported stuff, it's cheaper and it'll burn just fine". He looked at the clerk but he didn't say anything. The whole store was like a classroom when the teacher is standing right behind a mischievous student and he's the only one not noticing.
That's when the Trump supporter realised something was wrong and turned around. Jon locked eyes with him for a solid five seconds without saying anything. Then the climate change denying bigot started spouting random apologies, not even knowing what he did wrong, but having Jon Bernthal right in front of you with that look on his face? Not much else to do.
Then Jon took the firewood from the guy with one hand, rubbed his own head with the other, and said "Let me ask you somethin. You think, you think you can just walk in here like that, buy that cheap plastic packaged wood form god knows where and light it up here? That's what you think?" The guy tried to apologise again but Jon cut him off "You ain't burnin shit in this local. You heard me?" the guy immediatly nodded and ran out of the store, got in his RV and drove back to whatever white trash state he came from.
