Yeah its a fun movie and as someone who worked in a restaurant (fast food) as a teen with a group of friends and people my age, it feels comfy and kind of nostalgic.

Critics generally do not like raunchy comedies. Also peopled didn't care what critics thought about things back then. People weren't a bunch of sad cucks who had been buckbroken by checking the tomatometer of every film before going to see it.

I'd actually say they cared more back then than now. Now anybody is a critic and they all just give their hot takes but criticism back then was about whether or not your readers were gonna spend their time and money on a shitty movie or a good one. That was really the appeal of Siskel and Ebert. They were social watch dogs.
