I was a late bloomer and since COVID I cheat on my wife a lot. I do the numbers thing and after I have a nice long chat with a girl (usually while walking my dog or at a bar when I’m away at a conference) I’ll just say something like “I had a great time talking with you, so you want to meet up/go to another place/grab a coffee?” I couldn’t ballpark my success rate and I will ask women who have wedding rings which lowers the average but I’d say maybe 50% respond positively and of that maybe 50% will result in further dialog and of that 50% or more will be an encounter. At a conference it’s more like 50-75% though but that’s a different scene than just chatting up a woman locally (which also carries more risk).

I don’t really care about striking out especially since I’m only looking for sex. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get infatuated and feel some rejection but it’s different when you aren’t desperate. Went to a dance yesterday. Did my duty as a gentleman and asked all the clearly lonely ladies, old and younger, to dance. Many were there for the first time, either to just watch or were acting as chauffeurs for their friends, and had no clue how to dance. But I taught them! I've noticed that despite my manletism and diagnosed autism I have a certain charm and ability to excite women, so they trusted in me and in themselves with trying to learn some basic dance steps. There was also a special case, a girl in her 20s, which I went and asked to dance.
