>>211832247nta but i grew up across four continents, went to a nice college overseas, work in a pretty exciting field, and have traveled regularly throughout my adult life. most boomers have lived in the same country -- i'll even dare to say within one state of their birthplace -- their entire lives, went on a vacation out-of-town maybe once a year if they were fortunate, and pretty much only ever interacted within a community small enough for them to become familiar with everyone. the exceptions, like today, would be the wealthy or the military.
granted, zoomers won't even do that now, but the distance between your average boomer and your average zoomer is basically nothing. if you were right, it shouldn't impress boomers that i speak more than one language fluently.
