The show lasted ten seasons but the creator took a step back after season five and stepped down as show runner. For better or worse there was a notable shift in tone after this move. I was born in '96 so I grew up with this. I loved it because the humor had a hyper violent wacky edginess that I liked. The Flintstones, Fratboy and the killer rabbit episodes for example. Eris's fantasy too.

I also remember losing interest in cartoon network around 2008/2009 when it started airing trippy low effort cartoons like flapjack and adventure time and live action bullshit. We didn't have cable in 2000 but I saw enough reruns to know 1995 to 2006 was peak cartoon network.

If I recall, Grim and Evil was split evenly and featured one Grim episode and one Evil Con Carne episode. But they rebranded to the Grim Adventures because the Con Carne segments were far less popular. I even remember being disappointed by them as a kid because the premise seemed more interesting to me.
