>>211837582>japanese futonI think the point was cheaper, but desu an inflatable bed would have been cheaper than the cot.
I liked on one of those for like 2 years.
I actually want to get a japanes low bed, or futon or whatever they are called but decent ones are even more expensive than a normal average bed frame and mattress.
Main issue with the low futons is if say like me I live in UK on a ground floor flat, you are gonna be dealing with rising damp as well as insects running around on you while you sleep.
Not a big deal if you lived in a high rise, but still an insect issue. Well more on an issue than a bed and frame.
If you understand how the japanese do it, traditionally their housed are built on stilts so not really getting rising damp as well as they have the matting on the floor that keeps the cold from under the house at bay. Unlike say modern carpet and underlay, laminate and especially wooden floorboards.
It is defo a cultural thing, when it comes to economics and function.
Than being said though we can get low profile slatted beds or futon beds which are low to the ground. I prefer them over high beds. Just looks weird when you have a woman over, like you just have a mattress on the floor.
Not that I am fucking women any more.
