>>211860806>>211860810So you're saying that if you guys and myself were all in the OceanGate submarine, you'd just let me have the controls and do whatever the fuck I wanted? Apparently there's no danger in that because my actions alone are not going to cause us to implode according to you.
If I got in a military-grade nuclear submarine and started monkeying with the controls to the point where I was able to nose-dive the thing, you're saying that couldn't cause the submarine to lose hull integrity? Now imagine that military-grade nuclear submarine was in fact not a military-grade nuclear submarine and that it was built in some redneck's garage. Sure the POS might perform okay in absolutely ideal conditions, but once I started pressing random buttons I would probably cause our demise at some point, even in an ideal scenario.
Surely they had some kind of warning system that would have told them to go back up before it got to be a serious and irreversible issue. They'd already tested it and done dives before, so why didn't it *poot* then? Only thing that makes sense to me, is that someone started fucking with stuff they weren't supposed to down there. There's absolutely no way that NOBODY on board had a clue as to their imminent demise, didn't do anything about it, and didn't let on that they were about to get stomped by Poseidon.
