Gunn is basically speed running MCU phase 4/5. Once Reddit realizes it’s not what they wanted interest will fade fast. Naturally if Superman does fail then the next big thing is The Batman 2. Superman the character will be, as usual, shelved. It’s really just a matter of when DC gets sold to Apple/Sony.
