The only time we see people "reacting" to the videos on that show is when they occasionally cut to the audience laughing. The host just says a few lines to set up the clips but he doesn't really "react"

AFV is what I'd call filler television. Stuff no one would actively choose to watch if there were better alternatives. I place award and talk shows into the same category. It's not the same as specifically seeking out trash.
