Democracy is fine. What America has is not Democracy. The vast majority can vote one way and still be overturned by a small minority since their votes hold more power. All other candidates have been turned into a joke since you have to have mega billions to even get attention, mass media won't focus on you, and all that seems to be available is two candidates. So it becomes "do I vote for my party with the candidate I don't like, or do I vote for the other party whom I've been groomed to hate passionately?"
