>"horror" movie
>look inside
>PG-13
stop doing this.
i dunno.
pg-13 & m15 horror movies have to rely on actually being scary
r & nc17 horror movies rely on swearing, gore & nudity which isn't scary
I watched pic related, rated R but it gave such lame pg-13 vibes, idk why. BARELY any blood and ONE bitch gets eaten by a shark
>>211896939name one horror movie that's actually "scary"
Most horror flicks are a complete joke anyways with the same shitty recycled plots and dumb jumpscares. It's complete 'turn your brain off and just watch' slop. And I don't think there has been a good one made in the past 5 years, but happy to be proven wrong. 5 years back is when I officially gave up on horror as a genre altogether and stopped looking for new stuff after watching a particularly shitty Netflix piece of shit garbage that left a terrible taste in my mouth and made me wanna kill all normies that enjoy that crap. That was the straw that broke the camel's back so to speak, I've endured too many mediocre horror films, and only because of the love I have/had for the genre.
>>211896810 (OP)Horror stories are for children.
This film is PG-13 and scarier than 90% of horror films I've seen
>>211896810 (OP)You donโt need to have adult ratings for effective horror. Look at coraline. That movie has lots of great horror moments.
>>211897335Literally a jump scare fest
Kinda embarrassing actually

ive come to the realization that PG-13 "scary" usually tends to be more of a thriller/supernatural horror, where as rated R horror leans towards violent slasher type movies with big body counts. theres good PG-13 horror movies but looking through a lot of my favorite horror movies their overwhelmingly rated R
Teenagers are the main target of horror movies.
Psychological is the only horror
