my childhood best friend who I used to play battlefront 2 with is now a chef working at Restaurant Daniel which is apparently a Michelin Star restaurant on the upper east side of NYC.

I envy his success but also being a chef seems like the shittiest job, I can't understand the appeal

being a chef isn't success, owning the restaurant itself may be close but generally anything in the food industry is equitable to being the "most successful" nigger on monkeyblock selling trill hoogie to other niggers in dime bags. in other words, you are a scumbag slinging dogshit to losers and making pennies for it for maximal effort and risk. in other, other words, "food work" is for fucking retarded failures and nigger faggots. i asked for this hot dog medium rare. make it again bitch

I understand that the characters are all written to have flaws and I really appreciate it, but they did too good a job with Sydney.
She sends me into a frothing rage like every 3rd person. In no way could I work with someone who behaved like her.

Knew a guy that stopped being a chef to go deal with customer service for a big insurance company because apparently it was less shitty. He still dreamed of maybe owning his own place one day, but wasn't really sure. He also told me the money's in the drinks not the food and that a restaurant's much more likely to fail or be sold in a best case scenario than it is to succeed. He wasn't a super fancy chef or anything but he was really disillusioned with it.
