I didn't even know he was Jewish...

Because people in the industry knew he was funnier than they were but he was also not successful enough to threaten anyone, so basically you'd look like an asshole if you tried to cancel him. Also most of the guests on his youtube show were Jewish so the joke was obvious to everyone.
