Because S3 was one of the worst seasons of television ever. Nothing whatsoever happened.

If they did the correct thing and made it one season it would have gone down as one of the greatest mini-series ever made. This scene is incredible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R17bg0NnI8Y

I think 5 might be the last one, but 3 really reduced my excitement. It felt like nothing from the previous season was resolved so its several episodes of characters still in their tension with the only tension being the reviews for the restaurant.

Literally nothing happened in season 3. Except there was more of the annoying fat guy and he finally 'confronted' his nemesis in the finale who just completely owned him and walked away, that's my takeaway of season 3.

In the show he only appears in flashbacks because he killed himself for being a junkie loser

After season 1 it all feels like it's tryin too hard. Like with the first season they set out to make a good show, and made a good show. And then it won all these awards, so after that they were trying to make an award-winning show. So a lot of it feels contrived and clumsy. It feels like tough overworked dough (this is a culinary metaphor because the show is about a chef).

S3 retreaded too much of the same ground for me with not much difference from s2. I enjoyed it but felt it could have been much better.
As much as I enjoy the food and cook aspects, they went the wrong way by having episodes circle jerking real restaurants and the staff. They felt out of place, particularly in the season finale since it sounded unnatural tomme despite it being real professional chefs.
Should have done something similar with bringing in new characters like Will Poulters or a episode like Forks to get the point through instead of circle jerking real people.
