no. once instagram went mainstream hollywood's ability to attract young attractive talent was basically gone, so instead of admitting this, they manufactured a reason why they didn't want young attractive talent anymore, complete with scapegoat.
everything since 2007 has been proactive performance to manufacture reasons for the steady decline of hollywood that isn't "we're obsolete."
