the TMDB api is nice because i can use it for looking up a title from a search, rating it, adding a title to a list, its all handled in the background and keeps things perfectly organized. good programming project for someone thats into tracking, get an LLM to help you make some system for yourself.

also something i like about TMDB, and IMDB as well is their keyword features. those are made by people actually going in to their favorite movies and adding the tropes and shit featured in it. that can be fun to do yourself, or a great way to find similar movies.
