Let them collapse, then hopefully 2d animated movies start coming back. 3D cartoons have been getting extremely bloated budgets of like $150M-$200M+, all to render hyperrealistic GrubHub brown bean people. Meanwhile some of the conventionally animated features from recent years barely breach the $10M budget and still look great. The 3D model is unsustainable and needs a correction

This movie got me three times. First when Elio watched himself getting cucked by his clone. Second when the father ripped off his armor. And third when the aliens all chant, "Okay, goodbye, I love you," with their alien anatomies and phonetics. I usually get got by Pixar films, though.
