It’s dumb because in the deep ocean there are no things, the megalodon can’t go that deep so while it’s worthy to explore the ocean to find these things you can’t actually find them: a paradox. space on the other hand is much better choice, since you might encounter some things

Despite the Titanic sinking over a hundred years ago in international waters only one company has salvage rights over it and even they face some issues salvaging things from the site because the U.S. government regards it as a grave site. Think of how many cool artifacts we could recover from the site, but instead they're left down there to rot.
