This unironically made me want to be a submersible operator.

I just wish I wasn't a talentless burnout.

It’s dumb because in the deep ocean there are no things, the megalodon can’t go that deep so while it’s worthy to explore the ocean to find these things you can’t actually find them: a paradox. space on the other hand is much better choice, since you might encounter some things

How could it ironically make someone want to be a submersible operator?

It can't. But it can make someone ironically want to be one.

You know what's bullshit? Despite the Titanic sinking over a hundred years ago in international waters only one company has salvage rights over it and even they face some issues salvaging things from the site because the U.S. government regards it as a grave site.
Think of how many cool artifacts we could recover from the site, but instead they're left down there to rot.

>two hour documentary about a bunch of rich people dying suddenly due to a flaw of the mini-sub
People will watch this? There's no drama or anything.

Probably more poor people died than anything, all the schlubs from third class or whatever it was while most of the rich people got the few boats there were.
