I've been seeing a lot of anti-Disney sentiments recently. Assuming we're talking exclusively about modern Disney, that's fair. Disney is trash these days for many reasons, and that's a massive understatement.

How do you guys feel about Disney before 2018, either their classic, Renaissance, post-Renaissance era, etc.? What are your favorite Disney films? Subsidiaries like Pixar are also included here, live action movies too.

I like a couple of Pixar movies like Toy Story trilogy and Ratatouille, and some 2D classics like Hunchback and Tarzan. My favorite princess is Ariel. I honestly find the magical/enchanting concept of Disney more intriguing than Disney works themselves.

All the stuff up to Lilo and Stitch is good, no problems there. Iโ€™m not gonna pretend they havenโ€™t made dozens of masterpieces. I watched little mermaid again recently after like 25 years and It was so enjoyable, just a perfect movie.

My favourites are Mulan and Hercules

The state of this company today is what radicalized me to hate women, jews, and homosexuals.

These things go in cycles. Disney produced, with a few exceptions, almost nothing but shit from the time Walt died until 'The Litte Mermaid' came out 23 years later.
Really if you think about it, Disney has brief windows where it seems they can do no wrong, but produces unwatchable shit the rest of the time.

At the end of the day, it's just another entertainment company.
One that's in a better state than most other entertainment companies regardless of what /tv/ says or thinks.
Because much of it is focused on family entertainment, you no doubt are gonna have folks who will be extremely attached to it.
