Have movies and TV ever taught you anything that turned out to be true?
I always thought that beavers nibbling trees into perfect pointy stumps was something that only happened on TV, but they apparently do that IRL as well.

My trash as an adult, stored in several metal trash cans below my window, exclusively consists of apple cores, dented tin cans (with the labels removed), banana peels, and the skeletons of fish with the heads and tails intact. I also have cat confined in my alley-adjacent window box, right above my (think picrel but smaller) which I jab with a hot fire poker periodically throughout the night to fill the air with an obnoxious yowling sound, as I drop heavy objects onto my trashcans to create a clattering din.

I always thought that rabbits eating carrots was a cartoon thing.

It is. They will absolutely eat carrots, but they aren't partial to them, especially in the wild. Bugs was imitating a movie star of the era in a particular role, Clark Gable I think, and then it stuck to his character, and in turn rabbits generally.
