Just got strung along by a 19 year old at work and she went telling almost everyone, at least people I was friends with, that I'm some weirdo now and I came onto her first and it was all one sided when that wasn't the case. She constantly would blow up my phone and was obsessed with me for like 5 months straight but when I told her I actually liked her her entire attitude and mood changed.

Everyone is treating me weird now and I literally just want to quit but know if I do I'll be unemployed for the rest of the year

Yeah this was the mistake. It shouldn't be, it should mean nothing else except "I like you, this is great" and sometimes that's all it means when the girl is sweet and not crazy.
