Because

1. Upscaling all of DS9 and Voyager is a crap ton of work.

2. Anons can't agree on the best method to upscale the shows. Everyone uses different AI and different methods. So it would be inconsistent even if everyone decided to contribute.


3. We know Paramount has the film masters and is perfectly capable of doing it themselves. Just like they did with TOS and TNG. They are just being cheap and lazy.

4. The best question would come from Paramount scanninf the film. So they should do it.

The DS9 DVD sets are apparently doing well so Paramount doesn’t really have an incentive to spend hundreds of millions on a full restoration. It was never going to be as iconic as TOS and TNG. They don’t give a single fuck about VOY or ENT. Those shows aren’t getting shit but a half assed AI upscale on Paramount+.
